LIQUID TIME

Each of us certainly still knows the never-ending hours of work that seemed to drag on indefinitely, but also the moment of greatest happiness that passed far too quickly. This work of art is intended to capture precisely this inner sense of time and juxtapose it with the metric quantity of time.

While the clock continues to run in the usual rhythm, it appears to the viewer, through the distortion effect of the disc, as if time would liquefy. Ultimately, time, which is controlled by how we feel, seems to blur into a relative value.

Vintage watches from the 80s are used to create the artwork. The traces of use and different hands of the watches symbolize the reference to the individual human being. Although time seems to pass at the same rate for each of us, it leaves different marks on each of us.

The LIQUID TIME series is limited to 10 clocks.
