AUTOGNOSIS

At first glance, the artwork AUTOGNOSIS looks like a transparent air mattress. The plastic filter is enclosed in a black frame and is completed by a mirror attached to the back. 

A closer look reveals a gridded reality. The tiled reflection, of the individual as well as the surrounding reality, makes us think about and question the structure of our lives. 

Similar to a diary, the grid appears like a fishing net, which can be seen as a shackle on our time.

It divides our lives into bookable slots. 

When booking slots,technical problems,double bookings, cancellations as well as sickness absences can occur, which leads to a deformation of the grid. 

But the structure should rather catch our lives like a safety net and prevent overbooking so that our air mattress does not run out of air in the end. 

This artwork was exhibited at "time is running out" exhibition at Notagallery and was rounded off by the interaction of the visitors through the creation of projections of the rasterized panel on the room with the help of the cell phone light.
